Bliss Tree is an Online Indian Grocery Store with a presence in more than 30 locations in the USA. Bliss Tree is known for its high-quality natural health food products.

Problem

Though the website was receiving lot of traffic, the traffic was not getting converted to orders. The management were concerned and wanted to understand why the website visitors were not adding items to cart and were leaving the website.

Approach and Findings

We audited the website user journey to identify the bottlenecks in the user journey and why the website visitors were dropping off.
Deep dive into Google Analytics

We deep dived into the website traffic data of last 6 months to identify user journeys and junctures where there were major user drop-offs.

User Journey Benchmarking

We benchmarked with the best online grocery websites and identified major differences in user journeys and user experiences.

Work Done

We redesigned the website with key focus on better user experience and worked on reducing the steps to checkout.

We delivered the following during the project.

  • 1. We first designed the user journeys and evaluated the total steps/clicks to checkout and identified ways to cut short the unnecessary clicks and made the landing to checkout process short.
  • 2. Once the journeys were clear, our design team relooked at the overall design theme of the website and redesigned a new look.
  • 3. We worked on designing landing page banners, videos, promos and pop-up banners for driving user engagement and increasing conversions.
  • 4. We worked on standardising all pictures/images of categories, products to provide a standardised design language and improve the user experience.
  • 5. We added features like Quick View, Add to Cart button on the product listing, Product Comparison and Wishlist. We also bifurcated sub products/SKUs/packaging sizes into separate products for ease of quick checkout and reducing selection steps.
  • 6. We have also worked on redesigning of the packaging for the entire product range of Bliss Tree USA.

Outcome

With the new website the Website Traffic to Order ratio has improved by 200%. Post completing the Bliss Tree NJ website the management awarded us redesigning of all the other website locations of Bliss Tree in the USA.
